What is NAND Flash Memory?

NAND flash memory is a type of non-volatile storage technology that retains data even when power is turned off. It is built using floating-gate transistors arranged in a grid-like architecture, allowing data to be stored in memory cells. NAND flash is commonly categorized into several types based on the number of bits stored per cell, including Single-Level Cell (SLC), Multi-Level Cell (MLC), Triple-Level Cell (TLC), and Quad-Level Cell (QLC). Each type offers a trade-off between performance, cost, and endurance, catering to different application requirements.
